I am looking for the jobs on general writing and editing, technical paper writing and editing, content developing etc. With my 16-year working experience in a leading English daily of Bangladesh (The Daily Star) and regional and intergovernmental organisation (CIRDAP), I have developed my expertise on modern writing and editing. I am one of the editing team members who are regularly copy-editing annual reports, Asia-Pacific Journal of Rural Development, and other publications of CIRDAP. I am also writing reports for the CIRDAP publications, divisional papers and other editorial write-ups. After joining CIRDAP in 2000, I have copy-edited more than 15 high-profile publications of CIRDAP, for example, Poverty Focused Good Governance in Asian Commonwealth Countries; Appropriate Technology for Rural Women; Agrarian Reform and Rural Development: Sharing Experiences from the Philippines; Guidelines for Good Governance; Governance, Partnership and Poverty; Towards Empowering Women; and Empowerment of Women in CIRDAP Member Countries: Experiences and Issues. Working for The Daily Star for eight years (####-##), I have gained experience in reporting and copy-editing. I have developed a journalistic approach in writing and editing style. In the Star, I was engaged in covering events, attending press conferences, producing reports from the agencies, press releases and other raw sources. I would edit the reports from the reporters and articles from the columnists. I have written several features for the paper. I was also responsible for selecting and cropping pictures, and finally page makeup.
