1. Plans details of production activity in terms of out put quality and quantity,cost,time available and labour requirements 2. Prepares work programmes to achieve planned production and directs production control activities. 3. Co ordinates and directs quality control procedure,and the implementation of safety requirements and ensures statutory requirements are met. 4. Directs research into new and improved production methods and products. 5. Controls the preparation of production records and reports. 6. Gives advice and information on production to other managers and clients. 7. Recommends and implements initiatives such as new techniques and products and changes in staff levels. 8. Controls,directs and monitors production staff,organizes staff selection,training,development and utilization. 9. Responsible multi skilling of manpower by proper training and validating the results of the manpower, safety practices implementation at works. 10. Achieving the required target planned by Marketing via appropriate production planning. 11. Implementation of 5S, quality circles, Kaizen activities at works. 12. To analyze existing shop floor capacity and re-schedule production targets as per priority. 13. On time delivery by using pull/push system to all concerned departments. 14. Data analysis of improvements for Management review meetings. 15. Monitoring and maintaining standards for ISO:9001:2000,EMS14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:####. ##. Internal auditing of ISO 9001:2000,EMS14001:2004 and OHSAS18001:####. ##. Co-ordination with third party (BVQI,LRQI,IRS,SGS) for inspection of fuel dispensing pumps for oil majors like IOCL,IBP,IOCL,HPCL,BPCL,Essar,Reliance,Exports.
