Management Accountant experience for 6 months which involved the following: .Preparation and maintenance of accurate and up-to-date management accounts and reports as required by the company. This includes financial reporting, filing timely and accurate tax returns and overseeing the preparation of working files for external audits. .Budget control – Participating in company’s business planning and annual budgetary process and constant review and monitoring of the variance analysis for the entire group. .Involved in overseeing the procurement procedures by approving purchase requisitions and local purchase orders as well as invoices before processing and payment is done. .Overseeing, maintaining and reconciling the fixed assets register hence ensuring care of the company assets. .Ensuring that the company has all the relevant insurance covers as well as operating licenses. .Ensuring monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts including cash and bank, inter company, debtors and creditors are done and reviewing them for any anomalies. .Overseeing internal controls and modifying as needed to create an effective control environment. .Involved in the department’s staff recruitment, training and development including appraisal.
