I am a Mechanical Engineer, 32 yrs. old, Filipino, and I am eager to explore new grounds in project management and industrial plant construction. Currently, I am working with Pilipinas Kao Inc., a chemical plant wholly owned subsidiary of Kao Corporation Japan, as Head of Mechanical Maintenance and Projects, Production Engineering Group. I have 8 engineers of various discipline and 10 industrial mechanics under my supervision whose main responsibility is to support daily operations of the plant. My work requires me to report directly to the Engineering Manager all maintenance matters affecting plant operations and all on-going project works. I have 4 years extensive experience in maintenance of rotating and static machineries, shutdown maintenance planning, operation of high pressure fatty alcohol plant and 5 years in project management, construction, industrial piping and commissioning works. During the expansion of PKI’s Fatty Alcohol Plant in 2006, I was tasked to lead the team for commissioning Kao’s Fixed Bed Hydrogenation Plant & Offsite Utility Projects which includes Deep Well Water Facility, Screw Type Oil-Free Air Compressor, Fuel Blending, Steam Boiler, Nitrogen Plant and Ion Exchange Water Treatment Facility. I was also involved in the shutdown maintenance planning in the following year which has broadened my horizon in overall management of shutdown maintenance activities. Recently, I was assigned to handle project management of PKI's new Well Water Supply & Treatment Facility and Fire Protection System Project, which I regarded as my most challenging experience. I enjoyed being involved in planning, coordination, scheduling, budget control, construction, piping works and commissioning.
