my years of experience covers varied practical, supervisory and management experience in engineering, maintenance, plant operations and construction of a range of petrochemical and utilities operations ( using various makers and size of pumps, compressors, turbines etc in both the Oil and Gas as well as Power Generation Industries ). I have previous working experience in isolated camp locations. I have experience with working with Far East package suppliers, foreign workers (coordinate the hiring, staffing, training and personal development for the departments ), and transfer of knowledge to indigenous people or contractors ( providing opportunities for training and development of employees and assesses their progress, this includes on-the-job training, counseling and proper work delegation ). I have experience in working with construction handover procedures. I have provided technical advice on equipment selection, installation, design testing and commissioning of approved major projects (from reviewing test procedures and compiling the necessary documentation ). I have ensured that correct Engineering and Maintenance procedures are implemented to protect and fully utilize the Company’s investments. I have worked successfully with Permit to Work systems as an Area Authority role. I have used CMMS systems in daily work ( ensuring adequate provision is made for the availability of spare parts and materials for all maintenance work including the periodic review of stores ‘stock holdings’, and the identification of ordering of direct materials ). Although specializing in mechanical activities, I have a good understanding of other disciplines and the impact of these on the package.
