I am looking for a business development/sales position in a firm that will offer me the opportunity to learn new skills and offer career progression opportunitites. I have been a business development executive for the past two and half years in Ireland in which i was responsilbe for both sales and business development in the south of ireland. The business sold both products and services to the fitted furniture, kitchen and bedroom industry (business to business). The product portfolio included more than 3000 products. Previous to this, I recieved a 2.1 BSc Honours degree in Business Information Technology from Queens University Belfast, N.Ireland. This course allowed me to study both computer science modules such as Computer Programming, web page design and many other related modules whilst also covering a range of business modules such as HRM, entrepreneurship, marketing etc. As such, i feel that this has given me a broad range of business knowledge. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXPERTISE • Opening, building, and developing new accounts in new and existing sales territories, shepherding through start-up to established status • Developing existing accounts sales performances and increasing profitability • Providing market information to our marketing department and key customers to both focus our internal marketing effort and provide customers with information on new trends and profitable ideas. • Sustaining high growth accounts by issuing targets and rebates on performance • Delivering effective sales presentations • Developing strong professional customer relationships
