Job - Database Administrator Skill- Oracle , PL/SQL, Unix, Linux Experience - 2 year 6 Months experience as a Database Administrator language - English, Hindi Job Profile – Manage database availability. Installation of Oracle 8i-9i-10g on different operating systems. Manage physical and logical structures. Creation and maintenance tablespaces and various database objects. Managing rollback segments, adding temporary space as required by maintenance activities. Monitoring the database size viz. space monitoring of table spaces and also the archival space. Increasing the size of table spaces by adding data files or resizing the existing data files Database tuning-using the tools/scripts like - statspack, trace files, tkprof utilites. Improved database performance by monitoring run time statistics and making necessary database configuration changes. Analyzing tables and indexes. Rebuilding indexes. Monitoring and assist in optimizing the SQL/database to attain the peak performance. Manage security- using profiles, roles, archive log management, backup strategies. Adding the required User Logins with appropriate privileges. Granting and Revoking Permissions to/from the users through specific roles/profiles Co-ordinate with the developers to define new objects in the database or include modifications to existing objects. Creation and Modification of PL/SQL programs and scripts as per application changes. Worked actively with other teams for collaboration and resolution of difficult problems.
