I am presently working as a Level 10 Service Registrar in Surgery, at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and other allied hospitals of North Metropolitan Area Hospitals at Perth, Western Australia. Regarding my medical education and surgical training, I am an overseas trained general surgeon. I had passed my graduate medical education (MBBS) in 1999 and postgraduate master’s degree in General Surgery (MS Gen. Surgery) in 2002, from B. J. Medical College, India. After completing my surgical postgraduate training for more then 3 and half years, I had worked as a consultant surgeon and an assistant professor of General Surgery, at B. J. Medical College and Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, India. This is Asia’s one of the largest bed occupancy hospital and is highest referral center of the region. I am having a vast clinical exposure from this hospital, which is versed with all surgical specialties as well as other specialties of medicine. Apart from my extensive clinical experience in the field and interest in subject, I had passed IELTS (academic) with 8 bands, including 7 or more in each module as per the registration eligibility criteria of any state medical board in Australia. I am already registered with medical board of Western Australia. Additionally, I had passed all the medical licensing examination of United States' (USMLE) and am holding valid ECFMG certificate. Moreover, this certification also requires separate passing in English proficiency and interpersonal skills apart from clinical skills assessment, which I had already passed. Step 2 Clinical Skills of USMLE is structurally and essentially same as that of practical examination of Australian Medical Council Examination. As I am doing a leave relief term right now, I am looking for a more stable position, so that I can re-establish myself and my clinical knowledge and skill in a better way.
