Duties/ Responsibilities:
• The Contract Administration Manager will provide Subcontract Management support services to the AP1000 Project located in China.
• This individual must have expatriate experience working on large Engineering, Procurement, and Construction turnkey projects.
• Practical nuclear experience is highly desirable.
• As a member of the Project Management Team, his/her general duties will cover the administration of commercial business relationships on subcontracts.
• Specific duties will include but not be limited to providing risk analysis; developing contracting plans; establishing subcontractor bid lists; developing and issuing Requests for Proposals; evaluating technical and commercial bids; negotiation and award of subcontracts; obtaining necessary financial guarantees and insurance certificates; daily subcontract administration; change order management; back-charge / insurance recovery; claim mitigation / early dispute resolution; subcontract closeout; and warranty turnover.
• The Contract Administration Manager is a leadership role and as such, this individual must possess a depth of expertise in their own discipline as well as a broad knowledge of other functional departments in order to advise and direct Project Team members on the policies, procedures and best practices to achieve full contractual compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• B.S. Degree required.
• 15+ years of EPC turnkey Contract Management experience of which at least 5 years have been in a supervisory roll.
• 5+ years of expatriate experience is required.
• Due to geographical and cultural differences, this individual must have the ability to work remotely and somewhat independently while maintaining the project's objectives in accordance with Company policies, procedures and sound business practices.
• Individual must have the ability to identify issues before they become problems and resolve the same within their level of authority.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
