A small rural health service with 11 in-patient beds catering to the needs of those in an area of 4300 square kilometres of north Queensland, provides a range of services as well as accommodation for long stay patients, community liaison and education. It is staffed by a Director of Nursing, Medical Superintendent with Right of Private Practice, nurses, general support staff along with visiting Oral, Allied and Community Health staff.
