Psychiatry Staff Specialist with qualifications in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry needed to contribute their services to an expanding team at this hospital located in the far north of New Zealand.

The service covers and expanding population of approximately 140,000. The hospital consists of 225 beds with departments in medicine, surgery, child health, maternal health and mental health. This area is in the sub tropical region of New Zealand and is famous for its beautiful beaches and kauri forests.

All applicants should be eligible for vocational registration as specialist psychiatrists with the Medical Council of New Zealand. The appointee would be expected to undertake supervision of a registrar undertaking training for FRANZCP and previous completion of a RANZCP-approved programme of supervisor training and accreditation as a principal supervisor would be an advantage.
