The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day running of geotechnical engineering projects within the Geotechnical Engineering Department. Responsibilities:
• Preparation of geotechnical desk studies
• Planning, implementation, managing and reporting on ground investigations;
• Design of cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, and foundations
• Assisting the Technical Director to manage the overall team
• Managing project specific teams of engineers involved in the design of foundations and substructures
• Slope stability and earthworks assessments
• Reinforced earth design
• Report production and project management will be required
• Liaison with internal and external clients.


Requirements:
• Chartered with a high level of analytical competency
• Possess good business development skills and commercial awareness
• Be qualified as a geotechnical engineer
• Have at least 4 years broadly based experience of geotechnical engineering design
• Have a strong awareness with some hands on experience of contaminated land legislation and risk assessment techniques
• Be able to write well, and be confident in presentations
• Have strong IT skills, including practical knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS applications

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, ambitious, forward thinking and innovative team player who is experienced in working within multi disciplinary design teams.
