This role ensures contractors are meeting execution plans, civil and structural work scopes, schedules and manpower loading for a specific business area to ensure the Horizon Oil Sands project is on time, on budget.
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Participate in bid reviews and area constructability reviews, as required;
- Review contractor Construction Execution Plans, civil and structural work scopes, schedules and manpower loading;
- Review contractor modularization proposals, QC programs, and Inspection and Test Plans;
- Assist with interface coordination between area coordinators and EPC contractors;
- Monitor contractor safety compliances and work completion schedules;
- Monitor construction compliance to Canadian Natural site specific and OH&S procedures;
- Verify construction progress and scope changes to Project Managers and Project Controls; and
- Audit contractor punch list items for system turnovers.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Related Degree, diploma, certificate or equivalent.
- 2+ years experience in a large construction site;
- Excellent communication skills with proven analytical abilities;
- Exceptional problem solving skills that allow you to consider the details and complexities of issues, while still driving for results.
