The Mine Planning Engineer reports to the Manager, Mine Engineering and develops detailed mine and reclamation plans in concert with other mine engineering staff. This position carries on through the project up to and including operations.
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
-Project costing for each phase of the project;
-Maintains a high level of communication within the mine and tailings area;
-Involved in the development of monthly, quarterly and annual mine plans;
-Reliability and efficiency modeling;
-Mine equipment productivity analysis; and
-Equipment specification and selection.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
-Engineering degree in a related discipline
-Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer Status in the province of Alberta.
-Short and long range planning experience is an asset.
-excellent communication skills are excellent and proven analytical abilities.
