Under the direction of the BP Maintenance Program Coordinator, the Piping Coordinator will provide support to ensure the long term availability of the piping in Bitumen Production.
Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Implements preventive and predictive maintenance programs for the piping in BP.
- Communicates pipe rotation and replacement activities to the maintenance contractor.
- Reviews maintenance procedures for
- Develops baseline measurements during the initial commissioning and start-up phase of the plant.
- Provides guidance and works with contract Piping maintainers.
- Provides suggestions and recommendations concerning pipe integrity and wear materials.
- Develops spare parts strategy for replacing piping components.
- Provides suggestions and recommendations concerning proper pipe rotation & replacement procedures, material selection and recommended practices.
- Focuses on safety, cost reduction and reliability.
- Ensures equipment files, drawings, records and documentation are updated and available.
- Interfaces with Project Teams to ensure proper alignment with Maintenance needs and requirements.
- Interfaces with all departments to support BP Maintenance functions and activities.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Related diploma, certificate or equivalent.
- 3+ years experience in an industrial setting, preferably in oil sands.
- Knowledgeable on NDT inspection processes.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Understanding of maintenance work processes and equipment.
The location of this position will be the Horizon Oil Sands Project located 70 km north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
