Programs Introduction of the Canadian Foundation Center for International Education Canadian Foundation Center for International Education (CFCIE), with its headquarter in the Airport Corporate Center of Toronto, registered in Canada and operated internationally with the mission on the establishment of CFCIE’s Chain Models of post secondary and secondary level educational institutes across China.

CFCIE, as a full member of the Canada-China Business Council for over a decade, is proud to have been a sponsor and member of the 2001 Team Canada visiting to China leading by Hon Jean Chretien, former Prime Minister of Canada, and culminated in the official signing of contracts establishing joint venture education programs : Sino-Canadian International College (SCIC) and Sino-Canadian International School (SCIS) with universities and government organizations in China.

As a result of the chain models successfully opened in China in the year of 2001, CFCIE has created 14jobs for native English Canadians teaching and working for CFCIE’s chain programs in China in 2001. CFCIE has also hired 15 Canadian teachers in 2002 and the same numbers of native English teachers from Canada, UK, Australia and America in 2003 teaching for CFCIE’s Model programs in our State of the Art facilities of SCIC and SCIS in China.

CFCIE is also proud to have been one of the eight sponsors for the celebration of Canada and China 25th Anniversary of the CCBC AGM and policy conference in Beijing on October 22nd , 2003, having former Canadian Prime Minister Hon. Jean Chretian and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao as the Gala Banquet Speakers, to which CFCIE invited 18 distinguished Guests from across China including Deputy Minister of Education of China, Mayor of Beijing, Party Secretary of some cities, Partners and associates of CFCIE, etc., to join the Canada China friendship celebration.

CFCIE’s Canadian Teachers come from variety of background including both experienced professors and recent graduates of B.A., M.A. Ph.D. from universities of Canada, United Kingdom, United State, Australia as well as New Zealand, etc. Each year there are more than 200 applicants for the CFCIE Faculty Team Members, including talented faculties and graduates from world renowned universities such as University of Western Ontario, Waterloo University, University of Toronto, Queen university, University of British Colombia, Victoria University, Oxford University, Sunderland University, Stanford University, etc. There are also retired government officials; corporate executives from the above countries apply for the positions of CFCIE’s programs in China.

CFCIE has enrolled 240 students in its SCIC- the post secondary level chain models, and 100 students in its SCIS-the secondary level chain models in 2001, and the same numbers of students in the year of 2002 and 2003. Currently CFCIE has 700 students in its SCIC and SCIS programs. In the year of 2004, CFCIE plan to open another SCIC chain model in China, and will enroll more than 1000 students.

CFCIE planed to establish its ten (10) “CFCIE Chain Education models” programs across China in the near future. CFCIE projected to have over 100 teaching jobs for Native English Speakers and enroll more than 10000 students in it chain programs each year.

Features of the CFCIE’ Post-Secondary Chain Education models (SCIC)

The chain models of CFCIE programs in its SCIC locations credited and approved by the Educational Authorities in China to offer 3 years College Diploma programs and 4 years of B. A. Hon. Degree in the selected majors. Students must pass the National Unified Exams to enroll.

•Students, after complete one academic year, and in any given year of their four years of study, have the options to come to Canadian Universities, United State Universities, United Kingdom Universities and Australia Universities to complete their degrees.

•Students, after completion of their two years at SCIC, have the options to select any other majors in CFCIE’s partner university to obtain two degrees.

•Students can choose to stay four years in SCIC of China to obtain the Bachelor degree after fulfilled all the designed courses of study, and passed the examination.

Features of the CFCIE’ Secondary Chain Education models (SCIS)

All the students of SCIS programs are approved to issue Chinese Senior Middle School Diploma. SCIS students enjoyed 95 to 100% admission rate into Chinese Universities consecutively as CFCIE selected the top high school in the region to implement its SCIS programs.

•CFCIE Students Placement: SCIS’ students can pass the national unified examination to enter the Chinese Universities; students can choose to come to Canadian Universities, and Universities of UK, Australia and US to complete their degrees.
